Sustainable Transportation Coordinator
Researches, recommends and implements policies, programs and projects that will reduce the greenhouse gas emissions related to transportation in our community. Leads efforts to implement or support the annual policy, budgetary and communications goals of the Transportation Coordination Team. Assists Planning Department, Transportation Department and Special Events Manager with transportation related issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in planning, sustainability, transportation or related field. Understanding of planning principles Ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public. Proficient skills in verbal and written communication. Ability to establish and meet short-term and long-term goals and set priorities. Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.
Special Requirements
Master’s or Doctorate degree from in planning sustainability, transportation or closely related field. AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) credentialed or equivalent. Coursework in Transportation Planning or VMT reduction 1+ years of experience related to transportation policy, programs or projects. 1+ years of experience in contract and project management. 1+ years of experience related to grant writing, budget management and fiscal management.
