Come join a small team working to advance active transportation in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico! The MPO has been making progress on institutional change and out-of-the-box planning. On top of fulfilling our federal requirements, there is plenty of space for creativity in our planning process.

• Conducts detailed research in preparation of all federally and state mandated MPO transportation plans, programs, and policies.
• Develops and maintains data base management to comply with federal regulations as to the tracking of time, expenditures, and quarterly reporting.
• Develops and maintains transportation network GIS Mapping. Maintain multiple GIS layers, update, and disseminate to partners.
• Provides website maintenance and management, data collection and public engagement services.
• Compiles statistical traffic volume, traffic collision data and related demographic, land use, and trail usage data needed in analyzing and developing transportation plans and studies.
• Provides transportation planning research/studies identified in the MPO Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) related to all modes of transportation: pedestrian, bicycle, motor vehicle, transit, rail, and freight.
• Develops, monitors, updates, and implements the long-range Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).
• Assists in maintenance of the MPO travel demand model and the traffic count program.
• Compiling reports, public outreach materials including social media, and other media necessary to promote the MPO and public engagement efforts.
• Utilizes graphic design software to compile reports, public outreach materials including social media and other media necessary to promote the MPO.
• Supports the city, county and state with transportation related planning and programing including land use review, special projects coordination and committee support.
• Proactively reaches out to and engages the public in all MPO projects, activities, and public meetings pursuant to the New Mexico Open Meetings Act.
• Coordinates and manages the member agency application process for federal transportation funds.
• Creates, reviews, summarizes, and interprets other plans in conjunction with MTP goals. Manages and researches grants and other sources of funding.
• Recommends hiring, trains employees, assigns work, reviews work, and provides feedback.
• Oversees contracts and/or contractors and conducts contract negotiations.
