Active Transportation Program Coordinator

The NMDOT Multimodal Planning and Programs Bureau is currently looking for an Active Transportation Program Coordinator to help manage the Transportation Alternatives and Recreational Trails funding programs. This permanent, state funded position plays an essential role in getting federal grants out to New Mexico communities to support active transportation. It also provides technical support for communities working on federally funded projects and assists with other planning efforts as needed.

This position is located at the NMDOT General Office and is fully in person. Our office is located at the South Capitol Rail Runner station with easy transit access to Albuquerque and much of Northern NM and bike trail access to much of metro Santa Fe. NMDOT offers great benefits, including the potential for flexible work schedules.

The ideal candidate will have some experience with transportation planning, public grants management, and the Code of Federal Regulations, however on the job training is expected and interested applicants of all backgrounds who meet the minimum qualifications are encouraged to apply.
