Multimodal Transportation Planner

NMDOT is hiring a Multimodal Transportation Planner to work on planning, safety and active transportation projects statewide as a part of the Multimodal Planning and Programs Bureau. The position assists the State's Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Equestrian Coordinator and the rest of the team with transportation planning, project scoping and review, and program coordination.  

This position is located at the NMDOT General Office and is fully in person. Our office is located at the South Capitol Rail Runner station with easy transit access to Albuquerque and much of Northern NM as well as bike trail access to much of metro Santa Fe. NMDOT offers great benefits including the potential for flexible work schedules.

The ideal candidate will have an urban planning education and experience, knowledge of best practices in multimodal transportation planning, experience with public grants management, and proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office products, however on the job training is expected and interested applicants of all backgrounds who meet the minimum qualifications are encouraged to apply.
